Decorate with stuffed animals — dogs and cats — to show who will be benefitting from this great project.
Fill a dog bowl with water, so everyone can get a cool drink at your lemonade stand.
Have your kids draw their own posters and signs. Put them up around your neighborhood to help spread the word, and get more customers.
Sell more than just lemonade: packaged snack bags are easy and recommended for food safety. One very creative family last year painted rocks for sale, too.
If you wish to run your lemonade stand on property other than your own or a friend’s, you will need to get permission from Town Hall for use of town land. It’s easy and they are happy to help, but it does mean you’ll need to plan ahead to give them time to issue a permit.
Take photos of your lemonade stand! Email them to us, if you’d like to share, and we will happily share them on facebook, our website and at Southport Vet Center. No last names will be shared, however.
Tell your friends! The more lemonade stands, the more help for cats and dogs needing homes! Southport Vet Center will match every lemonade dollar donated this summer to the CT Humane Society!
